Gender Issues in Communicaton:
There has been a lot written & discussed on gender differences in communication. In this workshop we will have a brief overview of some of these findings. We will see what this brings up for us. What is true for you? Next, we move into an exercise that helps us enquire into all aspects of our desires & fears around dating & partnering. We will also do a reflective listening exercise. There will be time for group sharing. Come, learn about yourself, and the gifts & challenges of gender.

Kalee Powell, M.A. Psychology, holds a certificate in Conflict Resolution from SSU. She is also an experienced Nonviolent Communication practitioner. She teaches workshops on Communication & Conflict Resolution for Evolving People. She loves the way in which changing our communication can change everything!

Before moving to Sonoma County, she worked in Los Angeles County with LACOE - ROP ( Los Angeles County Office of Education Regional Occupational Program) teaching a class to junior and senior high school students called "Community Counselor Aide" that emphasized self-awareness, peer-counseling skills, and conflict-resolution and mediation skills.
As a psychotherapist, she worked with individuals and families using a family system and Satir communication model.
Currently Lana is retired as a therapist and now facilitates educational workshops that help build social skills using small group activities, role-play, and sociodrama techniques.
